Authentic Family Photographer in Connecticut -365 personal project - week 2
I'm not very good at consistency. I start projects and work while I'm inspired then let it go. But it is the beginning of the year and one piece of New Years advice I'm noticing everywhere is that daily practice can make big changes. Everyone knows that a little exercise every day can mean huge health improvements, so I'm hoping that a little shooting every day will push me towards a few of my goals this year (one of which includes being the best authentic family photographer in Connecticut).
One of the things that scared me about doing a 365 project was the thought of shooting without intention. 2016 was a huge year for me as an artist. I moved away from trying to make pretty pictures towards making meaningful pictures. So I had no intention of starting a 365 which might mean making pictures for my project that weren't meaningful but just done for the sake of the project. I felt that it could take me in the wrong direction. I want to make authentic family pictures for Connecticut families so I need to make sure that I practice what I preach with my own family.
Luckily, I've found the opposite to be true. Knowing that I want to make a meaningful, authentic family picture every day has caused me to be more present with my family, notice meaningful moments so that I can make a great picture.
If you're interested in having these meaningful, authentic family pictures made of your Connecticut family click here. You will find all the info as well as a video from one of my recent Real Day Sessions.
Also, be sure to follow me on Facebook and Instagram because this project is about so much more than one picture per day from my little slice of the world.
